MY LIMITED SKY

Unsettled beneath the most foreign of skies

But comfortable just the same

And there must be at least a million stars

And every one's calling your name

And the brightest one still reminds me of you

And the others of all the rest

And of all the skies I've lain beneath

This one by far is the best

The black is mine, my memories

Of tragedy and time misspent

And their children, dancing mildly

And their notions of intent

And watched with awe as Heaven

Touched the special places on Earth

And missed you more than ever

And touched you, for what it was worth
